On May 23, 2021, our college held the 2021 master's thesis defense in teaching building 7 of sunshine campus. The defense was divided into six venues according to the specialty. Professor Yang Zhujie, an expert of the graduate work steering group of our university, came to guide, and all graduate students came to listen and study.

The thesis defense of 12 graduate students of management science and engineering and business administration was held at 7-513 and 536 in the morning. Professor Li Kunpeng of School of management of Huazhong University of science and technology and Professor Hong Xianpei of School of economics and management of Huazhong Agricultural University were invited as the defense chairman, and a number of scholars from relevant disciplines were invited as members of the Defense Committee.

The defense of 23 domestic and foreign master's students majoring in logistics engineering and management was held at 7-513, 536, 501 and 512 in the afternoon. Zhang Sumei, director of logistics company of JIUZHOUTONG Pharmaceutical Group, Cui Jian, vice president of Hubei Zhongsheng, Huang Yidu, chairman of Qiaoyi logistics, Chen Hefeng, vice president of ANGJI aviation of Wuliangye Group, and enterprise experts were invited as the chairman of the defense, Many scholars from relevant disciplines are invited to serve as members of the Defense Committee.

Affected by the epidemic, some defense experts and overseas students have not yet arrived at the school. This defense adopts the combination of offline and online. In order to ensure the smooth progress of online defense, the college attaches great importance to it. Under the leadership of vice president Professor Wu Jinhong, the college's defense preparation team has repeatedly debugged the relevant software and hardware facilities before the defense.

Each 2021 graduate student has made full preparations for the defense. In the process of defense, he first made a statement on the basis, significance, innovation and main conclusions of his research.

The experts of the defense committee made incisive comments on the thesis with a serious and rigorous attitude, and asked in-depth questions about various problems in the thesis and research. In the face of the questions raised by the judges and teachers, the students used their professional knowledge, combined with their own research, and made serious efforts to give more perfect answers from a professional perspective. Subsequently, the Defense Committee scored and voted anonymously and agreed that 35 students should pass the defense and recommend the award of a master's degree.
