On November 3, the "Tangxun Lake Textile Team" from the School of Management achieved a remarkable success by winning the national second prize in the 19th "Challenge Cup" National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition. Their innovative project, "Fiber Query Smart Textile – A Multimodal Large Model for the Textile Industry," stood out through intense provincial and national rounds. This accomplishment not only sets a new record for the School of Management in this top-tier competition but also serves as a shining example of practical achievement in the intelligent transformation of the textile industry.
Amid the critical push for intelligent upgrades in the traditional textile sector, the Tangxun Lake Textile Team, guided by instructor Wan Xin, identified key industry challenges such as difficulties in policy interpretation, low quality inspection efficiency, disconnects between supply and demand, and insufficient process standardization. Through extensive industry research and technological development, the team created nine intelligent subsystems and successfully developed "Fiber Query Smart Textile," China’s first multimodal large model designed for the entire textile process.
Shortly before the national finals, Xu Weilin, Secretary of the University Party Committee and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited the team. He provided targeted guidance on core technical challenges, broke down key issues, and proposed practical solutions, greatly boosting the team’s confidence and determination.

Luo Jinyin, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and Vice President, personally led the team to the national competition, offering on-site support. This outstanding result reflects the strong support from university leadership and the School’s educational philosophy of "nurturing talent to achieve excellence." In recent years, the School of Management has placed great emphasis on academic competitions, increasing resource investment and viewing them as a key means to enhance talent development and practical skills. By establishing a dynamic database for student participation, improving innovation and entrepreneurship evaluation mechanisms, and hosting multiple discipline competitions, the School has won over 200 provincial and national awards in the past two years.

The excellent performance of the Tangxun Lake Textile Team has brought honor to the university and contributed youthful wisdom to the intelligent development of the textile industry. We extend our warm congratulations and look forward to their continued efforts in optimizing the "Fiber Query Smart Textile" model, further contributing to industrial transformation and the university’s innovation-driven growth.
